Description: Llama anti-rabbit CF™ dye conjugates are prepared by labeling affinity purified llama anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) with a selection of CF™ dyes. CF™ dyes offer combined advantages in brightness, photostability, and specificity compared other fluorescent dyes. CF™640R (Ex/Em 642/662 nm) is a novel far-red rhodamine-based dye spectrally similar to Cy®5 and Alexa Fluor® 647. CF™640R is much brighter than Cy®5 and at least as bright as Alexa Fluor® 647 when excited at 633 or 635 nm. However, the most important advantage of CF™640R is its exceptional photostability.

Description: Llama anti-mouse CF™ dye conjugates are prepared by labeling affinity purified llama anti-mouse IgG (H+L) with a selection of CF™ dyes. CF™ dyes offer combined advantages in brightness, photostability, and specificity compared other fluorescent dyes. Red fluorescent CF™568 (Ex/Em 562/583 nm) produces much brighter antibody conjugates than Alexa Fluor® 568, and has superior photostability.

Description: Llama anti-mouse CF™ dye conjugates are prepared by labeling affinity purified llama anti-mouse IgG (H+L) with a selection of CF™ dyes. CF™ dyes offer combined advantages in brightness, photostability, and specificity compared other fluorescent dyes. CF™594 (Ex/Em 593/614 nm) is a deep-red dye spectrally similar to Alexa Fluor® 594 and Texas Red® dye but yields much brighter protein conjugates due to its high quantum yield and exceptional water solubility. CF™594 also has excellent photostability ideal for demanding applications, such as confocal microscopy and single molecule imaging.

Description: This product is prepared by labeling goat anti-rat IgG (H+L) with allophycocyanin (APC). APC belongs to the family of phycobiliproteins, which are derived from cyanobacteria and eukaryotic algae. APC has absorption maxima at 650 and emission at 660 nm. Because of the high fluorescence quantum yield (~0.68), APC is by far the brightest dye for the 650 nm wavelength region. To minimize crossreactivity, the antibody has been adsorbed against human, bovine, horse, and rabbit serum proteins.

Description: Goat anti-human IgA reacts specifically with IgA heavy chains (α chains) and not with immunoglobulin light chains. To minimize crossreactivity, it has been adsorbed human IgG prior to conjugation. This conjugate is labeled with CF™633 dye. CF™ dyes offer advantages in brightness, photostability, and specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Far-red fluorescent CF™633 (Ex/Em 630/650 nm) produces brighter antibody conjugates than Alexa Fluor® 647, and has unmatched photostability.

Description: Recognizes a protein of 27 kDa, identified as the Bcl-X protein. This MAb shows no cross-reaction with Bcl-2 or Bax protein. Bcl-X has two isoforms, Bcl-XL (long), a 241 amino acid protein which suppresses cell death. And Bcl-XS (short), a 178 amino acid protein lacking a 63 amino acid domain which functions as a dominant inhibitor of Bcl-2. This MAb reacts with both Bcl-XS and Bcl-XL proteins.

Description: Recognizes a protein of 110 kDa, which is identified as androgen receptor (AR). It reacts with full length, and the newly described A form of the receptor. It does not cross react with estrogen, progesterone, or glucocorticoid receptors. The expression of AR is reportedly inversely correlated with histologic grade i.e. well differentiated prostate tumors show higher expression than the poorly differentiated tumors. In prostate cancer, AR has been proposed, as a marker of hormone-responsiveness and thus it may be useful in identifying patients likely to benefit from anti-androgen therapy. Anti-androgen receptor has been useful clinically in differentiating morpheaform basal cell carcinoma (mBCC) from desmoplastic trichoepithelioma (DTE) in the skin. This MAb is superb for staining of formalin/paraffin tissues.

Description: Recognizes a protein of 205 kDa, which is identified as integrin beta-4 (ITGB4). Its epitope is localized in the extracellular domain of ITGB4 protein. Integrins are heterodimers comprised of alpha and beta subunits, that are non-covalently associated transmembrane glycoprotein receptors. Different combinations of alpha and beta polypeptides form complexes that vary in their ligand-binding specificities. Integrins mediate cell-matrix or cell-cell adhesion, and transduced signals that regulate gene expression and cell growth. This gene encodes the integrin beta-4 subunit, a receptor for the laminins. This subunit tends to associate with alpha-6 subunit and is likely to play a pivotal role in the biology of invasive carcinoma. Mutations in this gene are associated with epidermolysis bullosa with pyloric atresia. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found for this gene.

Description: This antibody reacts with Bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) in single stranded DNA (produced by partial denaturation of double stranded DNA), BrdU coupled to a protein carrier, as well as free BrdU. BrdU is a thymidine analog, incorporated into cell nuclei during DNA synthesis prior to mitosis. Antibody to BrdU is helpful in detecting S-phase cells, providing useful information on the aggressiveness of tumors.

Description: Recognizes a protein of 110 kDa, identified as CD106 (also known as vascular cell adhesion molecule-1 (VCAM-1) and INCAM-100). CD106 is a member of the Ig superfamily of adhesion molecules and is expressed at high levels on cytokine stimulated vascular endothelial cells, and at minimal levels on un-stimulated endothelial cells. It is also present on follicular and inter-follicular dendritic cells of lymph nodes, myoblasts, and some macrophages. CD106 serves as a ligand for leukocyte integrin (VLA-4 or CD49d/CD29) and mediates cell adhesion of leukocytes to activated endothelium. It plays a role in various immunological and inflammatory responses.

Description: Recognizes a protein of 150 kDa, which is identified as the high molecular weight variant of Caldesmon. Two closely related variants of human caldesmon have been identified which are different in their electrophoretic mobility and cellular distribution. The h-caldesmon variant (120-150 kDa) is predominantly expressed in smooth muscle whereas l-caldesmon (70-80 kDa) is found in non- muscle tissue and cells. Neither of the two variants has been detected in skeletal muscle. This MAb recognizes only the 150 kDa variant (h-caldesmon) in Western blots of human aortic media extracts and is unreactive with fibroblast extracts from cultivated human foreskin. Caldesmon is a developmentally regulated protein involved in smooth muscle and non-muscle contraction.
