Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-3302R-CY7)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Neuronal Marker The protein encoded by this gene is a critical subunit of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors, members of the glutamate receptor channel superfamily which are heteromeric protein complexes with multiple subunits arranged to form a ligand-gated ion channel. These subunits play a key role in the plasticity of synapses, which is believed to underlie memory and learning. Cell-specific factors are thought to control expression of different isoforms, possibly contributing to the functional diversity of the subunits. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

Description: Serotonin transporter whose primary function in the central nervous system involves the regulation of serotonergic signaling via transport of serotonin molecules from the synaptic cleft back into the pre-synaptic terminal for re-utilisation. Plays a key role in mediating regulation of the availability of serotonin to other receptors of serotonergic systems. Terminates the action of serotonin and recycles it in a sodium-dependent manner.

Description: Involved in autophagy and cytoplasm to vacuole transport (Cvt) vesicle formation. Plays a key role in the organization of the preautophagosomal structure/phagophore assembly site (PAS), the nucleating site for formation of the sequestering vesicle. Cycles between a juxta-nuclear trans-Golgi network compartment and late endosomes. Nutrient starvation induces accumulation on autophagosomes. Starvation-dependent trafficking requires ULK1, ATG13 and SUPT20H.

Catalog Number: (BOSSBS-8525R-FITC)
Supplier: Bioss
Description: Repair polymerase that plays a key role in base-excision repair. Has 5'-deoxyribose-5-phosphate lyase (dRP lyase) activity that removes the 5' sugar phosphate and also acts as a DNA polymerase that adds one nucleotide to the 3' end of the arising single-nucleotide gap. Conducts 'gap-filling' DNA synthesis in a stepwise distributive fashion rather than in a processive fashion as for other DNA polymerases.

Description: Downregulates SLC1A2/EAAT2 promoter activity when expressed ectopically. Activates the nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-kappa-B) transcription factor. Promotes anchorage-independent growth of immortalized melanocytes and astrocytes which is a key component in tumor cell expansion. Promotes lung metastasis and also has an effect on bone and brain metastasis, possibly by enhancing the seeding of tumor cells to the target organ endothelium. Induces chemoresistance.

Description: Neutrophils are key components of the inflammatory response and as such contribute to the killing of microorganisms. In addition, recent evidence suggests their involvement in the development of the immune response. The Nimp-R14 mAb displays features of an optimal reagent allowing the selective depletion of mouse neutrophils in vivo.

Description: Catalytic subunit of the PI3K complex that mediates formation of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate which plays a key role in initiation and maturation of autophagosomes. Involved in the transport of lysosomal enzyme precursors to lysosomes. Required for the abcission step in cytokinesis. Required for transport from early to late endosomes.

Description: ARK5, a novel AMPK family member, is the tumor cell survival factor activated by Akt and acts as an ATM kinase under the conditions of nutrient starvation. It plays a key role in tumor malignancy downstream of Akt. Its overexpression is associated with tumor invasion and metastasis.

Description: OLFM3 is a 478 amino acid protein that interacts with myocilin. Myocilin is an extracellular protein that plays a key role in the actomyosin system and is responsible for controlling intraocular pressure. OLFM3 is a secreted protein that contains an olfactomedin-like (OLF) domain, an approximately 260 amino acid motif commonly found in secreted glycoproteins. OLFM3 localizes to the Golgi apparatus of the cell and is highly expressed in both eye and brain tissue. Mutations in the gene that encodes OLFM3 may cause severe glaucoma, a condition in which increased intraocular pressure within the eyeball causes loss of eye sight.

Description: The Notch Signalling pathway controls cellular interactions important for the specification of a variety of fates in both invertebrates and vertebrates. Key players in the Notch pathway are the TLE genes (for transducin-like enhancer of split, also designated ESG for enhancer of split groucho), which are human homologs of the Drosophila groucho gene. Groucho is a transcriptional repressor that plays a key role in neurogenesis, segmentation and sex determination. TLEs associate with chromatin in live cells and specifically with Histone H3, but not with other core histones. Expression of the TLE genes, TLE1, TLE2, TLE3 and TLE4, correlate with immature epithelial cells that are progressing toward a terminally differentiated state, suggesting a role during epithelial differentiation. TLE1, TLE2 and TLE3 have elevated expression in cervical squamous metaplasias and carcinomas, while TLE4 is most highly expressed in the brain, particularly in the caudate nucleus. TLE1 and TLE4 contain SP and WD40 domains, through which TLE1 binds AML1 to inhibit AML1-induced transactivation of the CSF1 receptor. In early stages of cell differentiation, TLE1 is upregulated, and TLE2 and TLE4 are downregulated. In later stages, TLE2 and TLE4 are upregulated, and expression of TLE1 decreases.
