New Product

Catalog Number: (BC97)
Supplier: G-Biosciences
Description: Sulpho-NHS reacts primarily with primary amines to convert carboxyl groups to amine reactive sulfo-NHS esters. It is ideal for cross-linking, chemical labelling and solid support immobilisation. It is used to generate amine reactive esters from carboxylate groups and is primarily used to increase the efficiency of the carbodiimide EDC cross-linking. EDC reactions do not require Sulpho-NHS; however, its presence greatly enhances cross-linking efficiency and allows for a two-step process. EDC reacts with a carboxylate group to form an active ester, which is subject to rapid hydrolysis in aqueous buffers. The Sulfo-NHS increases the stability of the active intermediate and the resulting coupled product is identical to EDC reactions without sulpho-NHS.

Description: Thermo Scientific EZ-Link Sulfo-NHS-Biotin is a short-chain, water-soluble biotinylation reagent for labeling antibodies, proteins and other molecules that have primary amines.

Supplier: AAT BIOQUEST
Description: A variety of cyanine dyes has been used to label biological molecules for fluorescence imaging and other fluorescence-based biochemical analysis.

Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Description: Sulfo-SBED is a trifunctional crosslinking reagent containing a biotin, a sulfonated N-hydroxysuccinimide (Sulfo-NHS) active ester and a photoactivatable aryl azide

Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Description: Pierce™ Sulfo-NHS (N-hydroxysulfosuccinimide) is a chemical modification reagent for converting carboxyl groups to amine-reactive NHS esters for bioconjugation, crosslinking, labeling and immobilisation methods.
Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Description: The amine group is the most common target for modifying protein molecules because it is abundant in the majority of proteins either due to the presence of lysine bearing amino side chain functionality or the N-terminal-amine. Amine-reactive biotinylation reagents can be divided into two groups based on water solubility: NHS-esters and sulfo-NHS-esters.

Supplier: Thermo Fisher Scientific
Description: Thermo Scientific Pierce Sulfo-SDA (Sulfo-NHS-Diazirine) combines proven NHS-ester and diazirine-based photoreaction chemistries with conjugate amine-containing molecules with nearly any other functional group via long-wave UV-light activation. A 3.9Å spacer arm separates the two photoreactive groups.

Catalog Number: (SIAL803235-50MG)
Supplier: Merck
Description: EMCS and its water-soluble analog Sulfo-EMCS are heterobifunctional cross-linkers that contain N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester and maleimide groups that allow covalent conjugation of amine- and sulfhydryl-containing molecules. NHS esters react with primary amines at pH 7-9 to form amide bonds, while maleimides react with sulfhydryl groups at pH 6.5-7.5 to form stable thioether bonds. In aqueous solutions, hydrolytic degradation of the NHS ester is a competing reaction whose rate increases with pH. The maleimide group is more stable than the NHS-ester group but will slowly hydrolyze and also lose its reaction specificity for sulfhydryls at pH values > 7.5. For these reasons, conjugation experiments involving these cross-linkers are usually performed at pH 7.2-7.5, with the NHS-ester (amine-targeted) reaction being accomplished before or simultaneous with the maleimide (sulfhydryl-targeted) reaction.
