Azure B (Azure I)

Azure B has been used in M′Fadyean stain to visualize Bacillus anthracis capsule. Azure B is a cationic dye. It is part of the Romanowsky stain, which is used for staining of blood films. It is also used for the localisation of nucleic acids and lignin.
