VWR® WIPA-BOOTS Microorganism Pathogen Sampling in Livestock Industry
Bags Sample Bags
This product is a quick and simple solution to collect microobiological samples in livestock housing, animal transportation vehicles, and their washing stations. The purpose is the prevention, detection, and control of infections by viruses (H1N1, African swine fever, PRRS, Circovirus, Newcastle) and bacteria (Salmonella and E. coli including STEC).

  • Ideal for sample collection and inspection of surfaces in contact with livestock
  • Easy to use and highly versatile
  • Simultaneous sample collection and inspection
  • WIPA-BOOTS are impregnated with a solution that allows transportation of different pathogens
  • Sterile and biocide-free
  • Fits any work boots size

How the system works:
1) Remove WIPA-BOOTS from the sterile sampling bag
2) Wear the WIPA-BOOTS over your shoe covers
3) Walk over 50% of the surface to inspect
4) Remove the WIPA-BOOTS and place them inside the sterile sampling bag
5) Twirl the bag around the wires, at least three times, to close the bag
6) Fold both wire-ends onto the bag to provide airtight and leak-proof closure and send the sample for analysis.
