for the determination of alkaline earth metals in water 1 ml ≙ 10 mg CaO/l using 100 ml of water
1 ml of reagent is equivalent to 1 degree German hardness when using 100 ml of water.
1°d = 10 mg CaO/l
Merck have introduced into the range of Titripur® Titrants some packs with additional technology - Supelco® SmartTitrants that use an RFID tag to provide a seamless data transfer between the smart titrator and the RFID tag on the label of the bottle of titrant. It will ensure that all information needed for method execution, result calculation and documentation is transferred to the titrator equipped with this technology. MettlerToledo Compact and Excellence titrators include this technology. Please see ordering table below for packs with RFID tag.

Efficiency value | 0.995 - 1.005 °dH |
Determination method | Complexometric titration |
The efficiency value of this solution was determined with volumetric standard calcium carbonate (article number 1.02410). The expanded measurement uncertainty is ± 0.7 % (k=2 coverage factor for 95% coverage probability). | |
The certified value is traceable to primary standard NIST SRM 682 (NIST: National Institute of Standards and Technology, USA) by means of volumetric standard calcium carbonate, measured in the accredited calibration laboratory of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in accordance to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025 |
