Estriol ELISA kit
Assays ELISAs

Estriol ELISA kit is used for the quantification of estradiol in plasma and other sample matrices.

  • Measure estradiol (17β-estradiol) in cell culture medium, plasma, and serum
  • Assay 24 samples in triplicate or 36 samples in duplicate
  • Measure estradiol levels down to four pg/ml
  • Read: Colorimetric at 405 to 420 nm

Estradiol is the major estrogen secreted by the premenopausal ovary. Estrogens direct the development of the female genotype in embryogenesis and at puberty. In addition, estradiol is an important luteolytic agent in humans.

Plasma estradiol levels increase gradually between days 1 to 7 of the menstrual cycle followed by a sharp increase to a peak value of about 300 pg/ml on day 12 just prior to ovulation. Estradiol levels in most rodent samples are extremely low, rising to detectable levels only during the pro-estrus period and in pregnant females.

Packaging: Kit contains: Antiserum, tracer, standard, ELISA and wash buffer, polysorbate 20, coated plate and cover sheet, Ellman's reagent, tracer and antiserum dye.
