Kit for the detection of amyloid acc. to Highman
The detection of amyloid is relevant for a large group of diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Creutzfeld-Jakob’s disease and bovine spongiform encephalopathy. The Congo red staining is routinely used to visualise amyloid structures with the method acc. to Highman - based on the formation of hydrogen bridge bonds of the reagent with the carbohydrate component of the substrate.
The staining kit contains ready to use congo red solution and KOH differentiation solution. The kit can be used for clinical diagnostics and in laboratory accreditation processes, as it is registered as IVD and CE product. The kit is sufficient for up to 50 applications.
