To measure the 'spot concentrations' of hydrogen fluoride for use with an Accuro® pump.
Cross sensitivity HF 0.5/a: Other mineral acids such as hydrochloric or nitric acid are indicated. Alkaline gases such as ammonia, causes minus results or prevents an indication.
Cross sensitivity HF 1.5/b: In the presence of higher humidity (less than 9 mg/L H₂O), hydrogen fluoride mist is generated, which cannot be quantitatively indicated by the detector tube (the indication is too low). Other halogenated hydrocarbons in the TLV range do not interfere.
One stroke is equivalent to a volume of 100 ±5 ml of gas passing through the tube.
The standard measuring range is calibrated at 20 °C and 1013 hPa.
