Automated Liquid Handling Systems
The Eppendorf epMotion® 5075 automated pipetting systems are high-performance workstations that are capable of handling all pipetting and dispensing tasks in the laboratory. The volumetric dispensing systems can be integrated easily in the work environment and provide an economical solution for these time-consuming, delicate jobs, so that personnel can spend more time on other laboratory work. The modular design of the entire epMotion® range also lends itself to a wide variety of options, extending its implementation possibilities enormously.

Eppendorf epMotion® 5075 LH: The epMotion® 5075 LH is equipped with a larger deck than the epMotion® 5070 and is itself a scalable modular system that can easily be converted into an epMotion® 5075 VAC or MC.

- Liquid handling system with 12-position deck for standard 96/384-well microplates
- Gripper for transporting items on the worktable (available as option)
- Applications: Merging of multiple samples, changing media; desalting of peptide fragments from peptide digests for MALDI and ESI mass spectrometry; reformatting in both directions between tubes and plates and between 96 and 384 well formats; preparation of PCR/Real-Time PCR/RT-PCR reactions in 96 and 384-well formats

Eppendorf epMotion® 5075 VAC: The epMotion® 5075 VAC is equipped with a complete vacuum station. This version has been designed specifically to handle all applications in molecular biology in which accurate liquid handling associated with vacuum stages is required, particularly automation of nucleic acid purification systems in the 96 well format.

- Automated system with 11-position deck for standard 96/384 well microplates and a vacuum station
- Innovative auto-adjustment system for the vacuum chamber which is incorporated in the station
- Gripper for transporting items on the deck
- Preprogrammed protocols: isolation of plasmid DNA in 96 well format; isolation of BAC DNA in 96 well format; purification of PCR and sequencing products in 96 well format; isolation of genomic DNA in 96 well format; isolation of complete RNA in 96 well format

Eppendorf epMotion® 5075 MC: This system works with the new Mastercycler® ep thermocyclers (not included) and is supplied with the Mastercycler® ep software pre-installed. Many configuration variations are possible in order to meet the needs of your laboratory.

- Automated system with nine position deck for standard 96/384 well microplates plus one position for Eppendorf Mastercycler® ep gradient thermocycler (not included)
- Mastercycler® ep gradient thermocycler with robust aluminium block for 96/384 wells or silver block for 96 wells (available as option) for maximum temperature control speed
- Automatic plate sealing before PCR
- Gripper for transporting items on the deck
- Applications: Completely automated sample preparation and amplification with the Mastercycler® ep; preparation of PCR and RT-PCR reactions in 96/384-well plates; sequencing reactions on 96/384-well plates; many other applications in the fields of genomics and proteomics

Ordering information: Eppendorf epMotion® 5075 automated pipetting systems are supplied with a control unit, MotionManager v2,0 or higher software, optical sensor, one waste container, MultiMediaCard (MMC) with reader, and user's manual; the epMotion® 5075 VAC is also supplied with a vacuum station. Pipetting heads, pipette tips and reagent containers may be purchased separately. Other accessories are available on request.
